Step1. The administrator (the first one who add the device) login the APP and click the button “”, then input your family or friend Danale APP account and click “Next”. The system will send a message to your family or friend’s account.

Step2. Let your family or friend login the Danale APP, click top left corner→Message→Agree.

Playback video on APP
The DVR must be installed a hard disk and record the video successfully before you playback it.
Go to the Live Video interface, click the button→Hard disk video, the App will automatically playback camera1, refer to the pictures below, you can switch the channels by yourself.

*Please check whether the IP address of camera has changed, right click go to “Add camera”, delete the all cameras firstly, and then add the camera again.

Please make sure the camera system has a hard disk installed first, if NVR can’t recognize HDD or HDD in error, we can try methods below.

1. If hard drive is not from us, please make sure your hard drive meets all requirements below:
a. The type should be SATA and size of internal 3.5″
b. Recommended use of specifications from500G to 4TB hard disk

2. Please kindly check the NVR power adapter, if the power is defective, will result in the hard drive unable to run.

3. Open the cover of NVR. Uninstall and install HDD for several times, and check whether the SATA cable of the hard drive is loose. If loosed, please unplug and plug again.

4. Install hard drive and put hard drive close to your ear to check if you can hear some noise. One hour later, use hand to touch hard drive to check if it is warm. If you cannot hear any sound and surface of hard drive is not warm, it can prove hard drive is not even powered up. Please share us result.

If there’s no video output on the monitor from camera system, there are several possible causes for the problem, you can refer to the following solution:

1. The video output resolution of the camera system is not supported with the monitor/TV

*Please use your TV remote control to switch signal source. If the signal source is right but still can’t get camera screen, this is typically caused by resolution compatibility issue.

*The NVR/DVR default resolution is 1920×1080. If monitor can’t show any image of cameras, it can prove the display resolution of NVR/DVR is higher than your monitor’s, please adjust the resolution of your monitor to 1920×1080 or use a higher than 1920×1080 resolution monitor to connect NVR/DVR. (The monitor’s resolution must be higher than the display resolution of NVR/DVR. If not, monitor is not able to show any image of cameras).

2. The monitor/TV or VGA/HDMI cable is defective or damaged

*Please use another HDMI/VGA cable connect camera system with TV/monitor (shorter than 15 m).

*Please use another TV/monitor connect camera system and try again.

3. Camera system cannot be turned on

*Please change the power supply or outlet, use another working power supply and check whether it works normally or not. If the power supply is damaged, the power will be insufficient, resulting in the system unable to run and no video.

*Don’t connect camera system to wifi router and then check whether it working or not.

Please prepare a Gmail email address and we will set up the email notification as follow steps.
Step1: Please Login the Google account, click Signing in to Google to set “2-Step Verification” is off, and turn on the “Allow less secure apps”.

Step2: Please enable “Alarm” and “email alarm” function. Right click go to Main Menu→Alarm→Motion Detect→Click Enable, then click Advanced to choose Record Channel and check the Send Email. Finally, click “OK”.
Region— click this button, which you can modify the motion detection area. (default motion detection area is all the image which camera can see,the red area is the detection range)
Period— click this button, which you can set the alarm time.
Interval— Alarm interval
Record delay— When the moving object passes, it will have a 10 second delay(Default 10s), and then alarm, can manually set it by youself.
Record Channel— The channel that needs mail alarm.

Step3: Enable E-mail function and fill email settings. Click Test until success. If test failed, please change another e-mail to have a try. Final Click OK to save all the setting (No matter test success or not, please click OK to save your setting first).

2. After you connected the NVR to network but it shows “Connecting”, please reboot NVR or reset recorder to factory setting.

 

3. Please check the yellow and green light on the ethernet port of recorder. One should be blinking which indicates recorder has connected to router successfully. If not, please change the LAN port of router or change other router to have a try.

Tips: This step is necessary for setting and you can’t skip it. Please don’t tick Manual or stop.

2. Motion detect setting

There are several requirements of hard disk drive (HDD)
1. The disk had better be the one used for survilliance, not for computer use.
2. The type should be SATA. SATA2(3GB/s) or SATA3(6GB/s)is recommened. If you connect a USB stick or drive to USB port of DVR, DVR can back up video from internal hard disk drive to USB stick, but can’t record to USB stick directly.
3. We recommend 5400 RPM.
4. size is 3.5” .
5. The capacity should be less than or equal to recorder’s maximum capacity.
Note: Before installing the hard drive disk, please power off the system if it is on.
Step1. Loose the two screws which are fixing the box cover.

Step2. Push forward the cover to the end and remove it.

You can view camera on computer or Laptop by IE in locate or remotely.
Step1. Open IE browser on your computer or Laptop, go to “www.dvr163.com”. (If you don’t have IE browser, please download it first)

Step2. Choose English first, Click User name login→ Input your username and password →click login. If this was the first time that you use it, please click “New account” to apply an account.

If there’s no video output on the monitor from camera system, there are several possible causes for the problem, you can refer to the following solution:

1. The video output resolution of the camera system is not supported with the monitor/TV

*Please use your TV remote control to switch signal source. If the signal source is right but still can’t get camera screen, this is typically caused by resolution compatibility issue.

*The NVR default resolution is 1280×1024. If monitor can’t show any image of cameras, it can prove the display resolution of NVR is higher than your monitor’s, please adjust the resolution of your monitor to 1280×1024 or use a higher than 1280×1024 resolution monitor to connect NVR. (The monitor’s resolution must be higher than the display resolution of NVR. If not, monitor is not able to show any image of cameras).

2. The monitor/TV or VGA/HDMI cable is defective or damaged

*Please use another HDMI/VGA cable connect camera system with TV/monitor (shorter than 15 m).

*Please use another TV/monitor connect camera system and try again.

3. Camera system cannot be turned on

*Please change the power supply or outlet (12V-2A or 3A is for NVR, and 12V-1A is for camera), use another working power supply and check whether it works normally or not. If the power supply is damaged, the power will be insufficient, resulting in the system unable to run and no video.

*Don’t connect camera system to wifi router and then check whether it working or not.

*Remove the hard disk (also don’t connect NVR to wifi router, only connect a monitor), and then restart NVR, check whether it working or not.

To explain this question, we need know the theory how motion detection works.
The NVR system can detect small image optical change. It can be triggered by small image change from camera. Image is transmitted by light signal.
Therefore, even if there is no object in front of camera such as human, animal or car, system may still be triggered by small light change such as floating cloud, shaking leaf.
Most customers hope the system can only be triggered by big object like people and ignore small movement. But based on the theory how motion detection works, there are false alarm.
It is hard to say the system is faulty since not only ANRAN brand system faces such issue, but also other brands who use light sensor to work for motion detection function.

How to reduce email and APP false alert?
1. To reduce false alarm, you can turn the sensibility to lower and set the alarm area. (The alarm area defaults to all areas have been selected.)

2. Click “Arming Time”, you can set the notifications time of email alert and APP alert.

3. Please upgrade your camera (you can upgrade it from the network server)

A: There isn’t s specific distance.
When monitoring image changes, like people walking in front of the camera, the camera software will calculate if there are changes with image pixels or if it exceeds the threshold value between the sequential images. If there is enough changes with the pixels, the alarm will be triggered.

Q9: How do i turn off the optical white led lights that come on at night?
A: When you open the CamHi app you will see the light bulb icon press it once and you have the ability to change another light mode

Q10: Does it automatically follow motion?
A: No. You can move it by the app on your phone or the client on your computer.

Q11: Why does a camera disconnect on its own?
A: If you don’t have it connected via ethernet then the cause would be a loss in wifi signal. If connecting via wifi sometimes will loose connection (ie: disconnect), but reconnects within minutes. Also, the distance from the router as well if any obstructions between the camera & the router.
